Emma Scarborough Garden Design (ESGD) is an award winning garden design practice based in Leicestershire. We offer a full garden design service to clients seeking bespoke outside spaces that are stylish, beautiful and functional.
Our gardens, whether classic or contemporary in style, are characterized by the use of strong clean lines and elegant styling set against natural, fluid and imaginative planting to produce spaces that have atmosphere, spirit and uplift the senses.
We pride ourselves on working in close collaboration with each client to understand their individual needs as well as taking into account each garden’s unique location, ecology, climate, surrounding landscape and the architecture of the building to create a design that, as well as meeting each client’s requirements, also sit in complete harmony with the house and the wider landscape.
We undertake garden design commissions across Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Leicestershire, Warwickshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire ranging from large country gardens through to intimate, stylish courtyards.
We can co-ordinate your project from start to finish, including planning submissions, working with a range of experienced and talented landscapers, water feature and lighting design specialists and plant suppliers.
Emma is an Associate Member of the Society of Garden Designers and was awarded an RHS Gold Medal for her garden John’s Fence.
In addition to running her own practice, Emma was Senior Lecturer and Course Tutor in Garden and Planting Design at Brooksby College, Leicestershire. She is co-founder of Botanica Garden School, a private educational provider running a range of garden design and gardening courses in Leicestershire.
